Pass each level by completing the required number of ring sets. Move rings around using the mouse, following the rule that a ring must be placed on an empty cell or a larger ring, stacked in a "Tower of Hanoi" fashion. Random rings spawn in the middle and its up to you to reorganise the board to accommodate the new ring. Complete ring sets turn into points in a tetris like way.
